Hi I’m Laura,
I’m a qualified accountant, entrepreneur and a mum of two, on a mission to equip parents with a simple guide on how to introduce and teach their kids the basics of Financial Literacy at home.
About a year ago, I was trying to find information on how to start teaching our two kids about money. I was overwhelmed by numerous websites, books and research papers, yet couldn’t find single place where I could find simple answers to all my questions. That’s why I made a decision to create a space where I talk about everything related to teaching kids financial literacy, including YouTube channel.
Why is it important to teach kids financial literacy?
Financial Literacy is a life skill that is often overlooked by schools due to lack of funding and resources. As parents and the first teachers of our kids, it's our responsibility to make sure they learn important life skills right from their early years at home. There are many misconceptions about Financial Literacy. Many people think it's all about numbers, when it's mostly about developing good habits. If you learn the basics when you're young, everything else will become easier later in life.
